A Bay Area kingpin who spends his life on the grind, Philthy Rich is one of Oakland’s most respected artists. Adopting a percussive cadence over a slinking, key-driven trap beat courtesy of Zaytoven, Philthy Rich struts his stuff with some of his best bars on “Bounce Back”: “I took a loss and I bounced back/Took an ounce and I bounced that/Hit the hood with them two-for-ones/I was on my last tryna stretch that.” Premiered today by Dirty Glove Bastard, the visual for “Bounce Back” finds Philthy and his FOD cohorts counting money in the crib, as he shows off his Rolexes and makes an all-bread sandwich. “Bounce Back” is the latest video from Hood Rich 4, the prolific emcee’s third solo full-length of 2016, which releases November 18th.
