VidCon & YouTube Renew Partnership
VidCon (vidcon.com), the world’s largest online video conference for fans, creators and industry professionals, today announced that YouTube will be returning as the Anaheim event’s Title Sponsor for the eighth time.
The flagship event is being rebranded as VidCon US in conjunction with VidCon’s international expansion in 2017. VidCon Europe will debut April 7-9, 2017, at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, while VidCon Australia will launch September 9-10, 2017, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
VidCon US will return to the Anaheim Convention Center, June 21-24, 2017, with tickets for all three tracks — Community, Creator, and Industry — going on sale today. As in year’s past, the event will feature a robust Expo Hall floor, featuring over 100 booths and experiences presented by companies of all sizes. Organizers are introducing several key innovations, including additional large stages for performances, panels and keynotes, plus expanded offerings for the event’s Featured Creators (online video’s biggest stars who participate at VidCon in a variety of ways).
YouTube will have a significant presence at the event, creating their own unique activities for fans, creators, and industry attendees, as well as the more than 400 Featured Creators participating in 2017.
“It’s wonderful to see VidCon US continue to expand as YouTube creators become an even more influential part of popular culture.” said Danielle Tiedt, Chief Marketing Officer of YouTube. “We look forward to partnering with the team at VidCon to gather fans, brands, and industry colleagues from around the world in celebration of this ever-expanding ecosystem.”
“VidCon US will be the biggest and best yet, and we are thrilled to once again be partnering with YouTube to help create an extraordinary experience for fans, sponsors, industry professionals, and, of course, the creators, who are the lifeblood of the online entertainment industry,” said Michael Gardner, VidCon’s Chief Operating Officer, and Colin Hickey, VidCon’s Executive Vice President.
Tickets for VidCon Europe and VidCon Australia will go on sale in the coming weeks, each show with its own release date.
