Salt Lake City Rap duo AGrade recently released their latest music video for their single “Grim Reefer”. The video for “Grim Reefer” is out now and can currently be viewed on Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes.
The two first cousins, Lytez and Stokz Mason, together form the rap group AGrade. The duo have been rapping together since the age of 14. Lytez, who at the time was mainly into sports, was encouraged by Stokz to pursuea music career. From 2006 to 2011, Stokz and Lytez performed as a group called GK, which stood for “God‘s Kingdom”. During that time GK was actively performing in shows and putting out singles, until 2011 when the group’s plans were put on hold so Stokz could take time off to search for himself in music.
The duo reunited on April 20, 2017 and dropped their first project, “Tree or Bottle”. Their single, “Bossin” earned the group first place at Coast 2 Coast LIVE’s Salt Lake City showcase back in August 2017. AGrade will be competing for $50k at the Coast 2 Coast LIVE competition being held in Miami, Florida in August 2018. Stokz will also be releasing his self-titled mixtape “Stokz Mason” in January 2018, while Lytez will be dropping his project sometime in mid 2018 year.
