There is nothing more rewarding than helping to mold the lives of the next generation of NFL talent. Thanks very much to Uncle Bob’s Self Storage for teaming up with me to create this one-of-a-kind opportunity

Uncle Bob’s Self Storage – a real estate investment trust that acquires and manages self-storage facilities owned by Sovran Self Storage, Inc. (NYSE: SSS) – partnered with Houston Texans wide receiver Jaelen Strong to teach more than 300 Philadelphia youth the fundamentals of football at the third-annual SNPGD Legends of Tomorrow Youth Football Camp this past Saturday in Philadelphia. Strong was also joined by a some of his closest NFL friends from around the league who volunteered as guest coaches for the training session.

The camp – which catered to Philadelphia’s aspiring football greats ages 7 to 17 – was held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Vidas Athletic Complex’s Maguire Field, home of both Drexel University and Strong’s high school alma mater West Catholic Prep’s practice fields.

“Philadelphia is my home. There is nothing more rewarding than helping to mold the lives, and football skills, of the next generation of NFL talent. Thanks very much to Uncle Bob’s Self Storage for teaming up with me to create this one-of-a-kind opportunity,” said Strong.

Founded by Strong in 2014 to foster the development of youth football in Philadelphia, the third-annual SNPGD Legends of Tomorrow Youth Football Camp focused on physical conditioning with basic drills, position-specific training and an obstacle course. In addition to free admission, participants received limited-edition gear and other giveaways.

While back in his home city, Strong also surprised about 50 separate local children during a Friday visit at the Cobbs Creek Police Athletic League Center in West Philadelphia. Similar to his SNPGD Legends of Tomorrow Camp, Strong dedicated his time to the youth by speaking with each, participated in a Q&A, coached them through football drills and distributed keepsake water bottles.
