Three Big-Name Shows Come to the Warehouse at FTC

Fairfield Theatre Company just announced three returning acts between July and November. Felly returns on Saturday, July 23; Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes on Friday, Oct. 21; and Keb’ Mo’ on Thursday, Nov. 17.

Christian Robert Felner, aka “Felly”, is a 20-year-old producer, rapper, and music-aficionado looking to share his unique brand of hip-hop with the rest of the world. Born and raised in Trumbull, Conn., the young producer/rapper has been performing since the age of 13. He brings his A-game to every rhyme, beat, and song, which makes Felly an artist to keep tabs on. He sold out StageOne so quickly last January that his show moved to The Warehouse. Felly then sold out the 640 capacity venue within a day to bring a high-energy hip-hop show to Fairfield County.

Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes sold out The Warehouse last October and will return one year later on Friday, Oct. 21. They are a mighty mix of Stax R&B and heartland rock. Emerging from the Jersey Shore following Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Lyon has rolled through four decades of gritty, blues-rock hits, and of course 1976’s “I Don’t Want To Go Home.” One of the finest eight-piece juke entourages around and a champion of a front man, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes deliver exhilarating, fever pitch performances.

The modern standard bearer of Delta tradition, Keb’ Mo’ brings a big backbeat and injection of soul to country blues. Like Bonnie Raitt and Taj Mahal, Keb’ Mo’ uses the blues as a template for a musical vision that includes jazz, funk, rock, R&B, and pop.

His art of blending genres, intuitive lyrics, unique guitar style, distinctive voice, and magnetic charisma on stage have gained him a tremendously loyal fan base, a few Grammys and the significant honor of being called, “a musician’s musician.”

Keb’ Mo’ is one of those artists who has inexplicably flown under the radar and performs in The Warehouse on Thursday, Nov. 17. As said by Glide Magazine, “Like Taj Mahal, a singular presence whom he’s often emulated, Mo’ makes a sound that’s as much about melody and his own particular personality as it is about form and tradition.”

Tickets to these shows are available beginning at noon Sunday, July 3.
