Starlito & Don Trip Announce Step Brothers Three, Denounce Police Brutality on “Good Cop, Bad Cop”

Starlito and Don Trip – Good Cop Bad Cop (Video)

The underground duo Starlito and Don Trip coming straight out of Tennessee, announces their 3rd installment to their Step Brothers series. They also recently release their video Good Cop Bad Cop which is more like a mini film. Read more about the new video here:

A nuanced, empathetic take on police brutality in urban areas, “Good Cop, Bad Cop” is the first release from Step Brothers Three. “Good Cop, Bad Cop” finds Don Trip and Starlito trading bars, spotlighting two officers involved in a shooting over cinematic strings and a gospel choir. With stylistic references to Crash and Training Day, the video brings the song to life with an extended dramatization of the narrative. Describing “Good Cop, Bad Cop,” Starlito says: “This song is our statement on the growing issue of police brutality, corruption, and violence on civilians. We’re attempting to create a healthy dialogue by humanizing the officers, and forcing you to look at the other side with perspective, no matter what side of the debate you fall on.”
