Silk Rhodes (Album Stream)
Stones Throw Records nears the release of the album from Silk Rhodes. The album slated to be released December 2nd is now available for a free stream, and we’re excited to hear it all!
Silk Rhodes consists of Sasha Desree as the vocalist and Michael Collins as the producer. Earlier this year, their single Pains was released to major fanfare. Stones Throw Records was nice enough to let us catch the album before it released. (Make sure you thank them.)
So far, the album sounds like the old school funk that seems so far away and distant these days, even a bit of Andre 3K‘s The Love Below sprinkled in. An instant favorite for me was Realtime. As always, keep it locked to Trillmatic.com to stay up to date with Silk Rhodes.
