Roy Jones Jr. to Host After-Fight Party in Las Vegas following Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Sapphire Gentlemen’s Club is excited to announce six-time Champion Roy Jones Jr. will host an after party following the showing of the mega fight between Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at Sapphire on Saturday, May 6th.

Roy Jones Jr. welcomes and invites all of his fans to join him at the big fight After-Fight Party. Raffles will be held for chances to win prizes for those that show up early for the Cinco de Mayo fight weekend activities at Sapphire.

Roy Jones Jr. is a former six-time, four-weight world champion, having held titles at middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight, and is the only boxer in history to start his professional career as a light middleweight go on to win a heavyweight title. As an amateur he represented the United States at the 1988 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal in the light middleweight division.

Jones, who is considered by many to be one of the best pound for pound boxers of all time, left his mark in the sport’s history when he won the WBA heavyweight title in 2003, becoming the first former middleweight champion to win a heavyweight title in 106 years. He also became the undisputed light heavyweight champion in 1999, by unifying the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles. During his prime, Jones was known for possessing exceptional hand speed, athleticism, movement and reflexes.

The Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. fight is shaping up to be the most anticipated and biggest all-Mexican fight in boxing history. Middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez will face former middleweight titleholder Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a scheduled 12-round fight Cinco de Mayo Weekend.
