Make extra cash with a Wi-Fi router or hotspot
“It’s like Airbnb for Wi-Fi Internet connections.”
Finding a reliable local Wi-Fi connection is not always easy to do. SiFi, a new Internet sharing platform, is the latest mobile app you’ll want to make room for on your iPhone or iPad.
Developed by brothers Alexander and Mike Draghici, the SiFi iPhone app allows its users to find a safe and reliable wireless Internet connection in their local area. Users can also sign-up as “hosts” to share their own Internet Wi-Fi connections publicly for free, or as a private listing and accept donations via PayPal from other people who need Internet access.
“Think of it as Airbnb for wireless Internet connections,” said Mike Draghici, who leads the startup company Sifi Communications, LLC with his brother Alexander. They’ve also partnered with investor Greg Hannley and actor Daniel Baldwin.
“Hosts can make some extra cash with their Wi-Fi router or hotspot. It’s truly a modern and on-demand way of sharing Internet connections with other people so they don’t need to setup an expensive service contract with their local cable company when they just moved into their new apartment. If hosts maintain a high service level rating, we will even pay their monthly Internet fees too,” explains Alexander.
SiFi is available on the Apple App Store for free. Visit http://www.getsifi.com to get the direct download link and learn more about its unique features, plus watch a promotional video featuring Daniel Baldwin.
