For the 20th Anniversary of one of the praised Hip Hop albums of all time, Nas brings into his creative process. Returning to his home in Queensbridge, Nas shares stories of his upbringing, his influences from the music of his jazz musician father Olu Dara to the burgeoning hip-hop scene in New York City and the obstacles and trials he faced before his major label signing at age 20.
It’s no secret that when I started Trillmatic Ent, it was to embody this side of Hip Hop and to blend it with the other parts of Hip Hop culture from the South and the West. Trillmatic Ent is blend of everything Hip Hop. Nas was a major influence on me and still is.
Some of these young artists should watch this when it releases, as well as pick up his album and study it.
