Monster Energy sent Ishod Wair to Copenhagen, one of the best cities in the world, to warm up the streets and canals, and created an opening trailer for this year’s CPH Open that will take place from August 10 – 14.

One of the main reasons the skaters love Copenhagen and keep coming back is the city and its accessibility – you can go anywhere – by bike, board or boat. For the CPH OPEN 2016 contest, the event organizers have taken the skater-loved qualities of the city and created a unique format, where skateboarders will be moving from spot to spot on land and by sea. In short, CPH Open is everything the other competitions are not. It is “The Champagne of Skateboarding” and the greatest show on Earth.

The trailer takes you on a scenic tour of beautiful Copenhagen, featuring Wair on land and sea, and includes skating from Monster Energy teammates Phil Zwijsen and Stavros Razis, and local Danish skaters Oscar Gronbaek, Alexander Risvad, Mads Christensen, Flex O’Connor, and Jonas Skroder.

A highlight of the video is cameo appearances from Monster Energy’s Rune Glifberg and famous Danish comedian, Casper Christensen at the end topping off the piece with a champagne toast.

The CPH Open is a five-day skateboarding event packed with the best skateboarders in the world in the skateboard wonderland known as Copenhagen, Denmark.
