Mikey Dollaz ft. Lud Foe – Cocky (Audio)
(Prod. by Silk Road Assassins)
Mikey Dollaz and Lud Foe link up with producers Silk Road Assassins for a new track where they flex their cockiness. Read more about Cocky here:
Mikey Dollaz combines his aggressive rap style with experimental electronic music to create a new breed of Chicago street music. Premiered today by Dirty Glove Bastard, “Cocky” finds Mikey making the most of a sparkling, yet hard-edged Grime instrumental courtesy of Silk Road Assassins, delivering confident boasts with an assaultive triplet flow. Joined on the track by fellow Chicago WestSider Lud Foe, who serves as a levelheaded foil for the hyperactive Mikey Dollaz, “Cocky” is the latest in a long line of experimental bangers released by Mikey Dollaz in 2016. Earlier this week, The FADER premiered “Go Get Em,” a glassy electronic banger with a grime bassline, trap drums, and dream-like synths from Nottingham producer Glacci. Mikey Dollaz frequently collaborates with rising producer SALVA, who connected with Mikey Dollaz for the beat-shifting “Waddup/Who Betta” and the Art of Noise-sampling, King Louie-featuring “Forever Be Dat Guy.” The rapper/producer duo plan to release a collaborative project later this year.
