MH the Verb – Power (“Afronaut” Album Art Paint Process by Borbay)
Art sometimes exceeds music and makes its way back to the canvas. MH the Verb drops his new album art paint process for his new album Afronaut, drawn and painted by Borbay. Read more about it down below:
Following their first big collaboration in 2014, rapper MH the Verb and visual artist Borbay reconnect for the cover artwork for MH’s forthcoming collaborative album with producer Buscrates 16 Bit Ensemble, Afronaut (due out November 10). Today (10/17/2017), Borbay reveals the creation process of the vivid artwork in a candid video, featuring MH The Verb’s second Afronaut single “Power.”
“When MH shared his idea for this cover, we dug deep. Who is the Afronaut? What does she mean? What does she stand for? The answers guided our imagery: a glowing figure on a dark beach, reminiscent of a scene in Shatner-era ‘Star Trek’… Like the music, our cover implores you to ask questions of your own. Dig deeper.” – Borbay
MH the Verb is also writing a new song for Borbay’s second born daughter, Vega, which will be released on her 3rd birthday. Maybe more artists should collab in this way. Watch the visual and listen to Power down bottom.
