The Last Artful, Dodgr – Squadron (Video)

The singer/rapper known as The Last Artful, Dodgr returns with an all new music video for the track Squadron. Hold it down for the squaaad homie. Read more about this release here:

Equipped with memorable melodies, an agile flow, and puckish, often ostentatious wordplay, L.A.-born Portland-based rapper/singer The Last Artful, Dodgr is gearing up for a series of 2016 releases, led by her new video single “Squadron.” The video premiered today at Pigeons & Planes, who raved, the “artist has an unmistakable voice—it’s the kind of raspy, sneering delivery that oozes confidence and power, especially on that bouncy, elastic chorus.” Filmed at the Sticks & Stones workshop in Portland, the video finds Dodgr exuberantly taking over the streets and art classrooms of her city, spitting in her trademark melodic flow. “My definition of squadron is fluid,” reveals Dodgr, “as the term applies to any group of people I may feel comfortable expressing myself in the midst of and sharing energy with.” Produced by Australian producer/DJ W N T D, “Squadron” precedes forthcoming projects under Portland-based labels Fresh Selects and EYRST, who released Dodgr’s dark R&B Fractures EP in 2015.
