HBO & The Onion Present the Chicago Premiere of BARRY

HBO & The Onion Present the Chicago Premiere of BARRY w/ Co-star Henry Winkler on Thursday, March 29, 2018. Henry Winkler, BARRY Co-Star, In Attendance.

WHAT: On Thursday, March 29, 2018, HBO and The Onion / The A.V. Club present the Chicago premiere of BARRY.

In this eight-episode dark comedy, Bill Hader stars as a depressed, low-rent hitman from the Midwest. Lonely and dissatisfied in his life, he reluctantly travels to LA to execute a hit on an aspiring actor. Barry follows his “mark” into an acting class and ends up finding an accepting community in a group of eager hopefuls within the LA theater scene.

Created and written by Hader and Alec Berg (Silicon Valley, Curb Your Enthusiasm), BARRY also stars acting legend Henry Winkler as Gene Cousineau, Barry’s acting coach.

The Chicago premiere is the last of three BARRY premiere events that HBO and The Onion/The A.V. Club will host to kick-off the new series, preceded by Portland (3/22) and San Diego (3/27).

BARRY debuts Sunday, March 25 (10:30 P.M. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.
