GameStop Fingerprinting People In Philly to Fight Crime (Video)

GameSpot.com is reporting that in order to aid law enforcement and prevent crime, some Philadelphia GameStop stores have started fingerprinting people who trade in games. The fuck? I can understand this to a small extent. Most of the time when houses are robbed games are the easiest grab and lightest to carry. Not saying I’ve robbed anyone’s house or anything but that’s what I would go for. Even so, having your fingerprint thumbed at a game store is too intrusive. I wouldn’t be surprised if Game X Change stock rises.

Watch the clip and read a statement released by GameStop.

What do you think about this? Is it too intrusive? Or are you happy it brings crime down?
