2015 was the year the World Health Organization announced that 1.1 billion teenagers and young adults are at risk of hearing loss due to the unsafe use of personal audio devices including smartphones, and exposure to damaging levels of sound at noisy entertainment venues such as nightclubs, bars and sporting events. Included in this year’s booth display will be Etymotic’s ER•20®XS High Fidelity Earplugs. The new ER•20XS is a version of Etymotic’s industry leading ETY•Plug® High Fidelity Earplugs. Both reduce sound levels while preserving sound quality, but the new ER•20XS has a smaller, stem-less design and a profile that conforms to the plane of outer ear. This makes it particularly comfortable to wear under hats, helmets, and even while sleeping. A small, flexible pull-tab allows for easy removal.
