Common’s influence has paved the way for so many artists including Kendrick, J. Cole and Lil Bibby, so when he freestyles you can hear pieces of him they’ve incorporated into their own music.
Joining us this morning he spit a crazy freestyle around the topic of the American Black Film Festival. Common flows smooth as ever as he drops names of influential black role models as well as mentioning things black people have had to fight against.
