Chevy Woods ft. Devin Cruise – History (Audio)

Chevy Woods hasn’t stopped grinding and has proved you don’t need to sell out to a label to make money in this rap game. He drops a new single called History, featuring Devin Cruise. Read more about this release below:

Coasting above arpeggiated video game synths, Taylor Gang emcee Chevy Woods celebrates his triumphs on “History,” premiered today by XXL, who praised the track as “the type of celebratory anthem perfect for a weekend spent with friends.” Strutting his stuff with justified confidence, Chevy celebrates life while mocking haters with a melodic cadence, culminating in a victorious chorus by Devin Cruise. Currently performing at part of the 36-date High Road Tour, alongside headliners Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa, as well as Kevin Gates, Jhene Aiko, Casey Veggies, and DJ Drama, “History” is the first single from Chevy Woods’ upcoming album, due to drop early fall. Chevy’s upcoming full-length follows February’s And the Story Goes…, a 4-part video EP that finds Pittsburgh rapper reflecting on his adolescence and contemplating career paths. Featuring Styles P and  Dave East, the project’s final track found Woods embracing successes from I.D. Labs recording studio where he and Wiz Khalifa met and began harnessing their talent as independent artists in the mid 2000’s while tying in clips from a vibrant performance in his hometown of Pittsburgh. Directed by Wiley Films, the video EP released as a free download via Taylor Gang Ent.
