L.A. via Sacramento singer/songwriter Victoria Monet shares her first single since last year’s Nightmares & Lullabies: Act II EP. Premiered by Complex, “Good Life (Yea Yea Yea)” is a classic R&B cut, as the singer reflects on a hard day’s work while embracing that it’s all worth it to come too the moonlight, which could also play as a double entendre for a significant other that she’s returning home to. Her silky vocals elegantly descend over Dmile‘s silky percussion, with Monét echoing, “all these city lights, shining in my eyes, and the moon is looking bright as we approach midnight.”

“Good Life” dives into a moonlight theme that Victoria Monét crafted working alongside Ariana Grande. “I love everything about the moonlight, stars, sunlight and Nature in general really,” explains Monét. “I feel like Ariana and I both have a good grasp of reality, but balance it out with our wild imagination and love for romance and fantasy worlds! We are very different artists, but our hearts are the same.”
