A Video Showing People How to Make the Apple Logo on an iPhone Light Up
Make an iPhone stand out in a sea of iPhones.

Sometimes it can be hard to make an iPhone stand out in a sea of iPhones. Someone can jailbreak the phone and then change all the icons, they can find a clever unique case, but beyond that, there’s not a whole lot to differentiate an iPhone from all the others.
Here is one tweak for making an iPhone stand out in a crowd (while still being subtle with it).
Know how the Apple logo on a Macbook lights up when the screen is on? Well, using a small kit, someone can make an iPhone do the same thing. Needless to say, it catches people’s attention – especially while sitting in a dark bar – and garners a lot of “What the hell…” responses, it’s inexpensive to do, doesn’t affect the battery life of the phone, and isn’t terribly hard to do.
TheUnlockr recently did a video on how to make the iPhone logo on the back of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus light up like a Macbook does. Now, thanks to reader requests, there is a way to do it to the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.
The light kits all use an exposed conductor on the back of the screen to borrow some of the power that the screen is getting to light up the small LED placed in the place of the Apple logo on the back. (No this doesn’t drain the battery in any significant way, LEDs use such little power and it’s so small grabbing such a minute amount of power off the screen’s current power).
The issue here is that the back of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus’ screen isn’t connected to the motherboard of the phone in quite the same way so the existing kit for the 6/6 Plus doesn’t fit. Thankfully though, a solution has been found and – oddly enough – the installation process is actually a bit easier than the previous kit.
