7 Mixtapes You Overlooked in 2014

For those of you that don’t know, Trillmatic.com was originally started as a site by artists to showcase our talents. In late July, we decided to take it a step further and showcase more underground talent from across the globe that we come across. In the coming year, we want this site to become the pulse of underground music. Not just Hip Hop. All genres.

Mainstream music has taken a turn for the worse these past couple of years and it’s no coincidence that these widely unknown, underground artists have been some of the most talented. True, you’ll see a small amount of mainstream music trickled into our site, but for the most part, it will be largely made for the starving artist who just needs someone to notice, as we recognize this with ourselves being artists.

So far in the five months that we’ve been active, we’ve come across a few mixtapes/albums from underground artists you may have missed out on. From street music, to straight Hip Hop, a few pop singers and pure lyricism. See what you missed in 2014.
