If you haven’t heard yet, podcasts are taking over the web. Podcasting is the new medium and there’s good reason. Unlike YouTube or blogs, you can consume a podcast at any time. While driving a car, mowing the lawn, working out and plenty of other activities. And the content is wide-ranging and at most times extremely informative. We’ve even started one recently.
So for all you Hip Hop Heads out there that are just getting into the world of Hip Hop podcasts and you don’t know where to start, I’m going to put you on 10 Hip Hop podcasts that you should check out.
The Combat Jack Show
This is probably one of the most well-known Hip Hop Podcasts on the market. The podcast features attorney, author and radio personality Reggie Ossé interviewing some of the greatest in Hip Hop culture, from the old school to the new school.

Rap Radar Podcast
The Rap Radar Podcast is one of the few Hip Hop Podcasts that is strictly focused on Hip Hop. A fair warning though, Elliot Wilson’s laugh is worse than a hyena’s laugh. But he’s been toning it down so he gets an A for effort. Similar to the earlier one, you’ll hear interviews with old and new.

Juan Epstein
The Juan Epstein Podcast has been in the game before you even knew what a podcast was. It’s hosts are the well-known Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg from Hot97 in New York. If you’ve enjoyed them on the radio at any time, then you’ll enjoy their Hip Hop podcast.

A Waste of Time with It’s The Real
If you’re looking for a good waste of time, Eric and Jeff Rosenthal, 2 jewish guys that know their Hip Hop shit, put together a funny, entertaining Hip Hop podcast featuring interviews with some of the coolest artists out. You’ll never hear the basic questions that you hear in most interviews. And make sure you have an aka ready if you’re a guest on their show.

The Vlad Couch
If you’re a regular of DJ Vlad’s VladTV.com, you’ll be familiar with his Hip Hop podcast. Here, you’ll get the audio versions of all his interviews in full. Be ready to hear some interesting point of views, real stories and honest thoughts from artists, music industry insiders and a lot more.

Drink Champs is a newer podcast on the scene but it’s gaining traction extremely fast, making it’s way to the top of the charts effortlessly. The podcast is hosted by none other than N.O.R.E. with DJ EFN all behind some great drinks. Get ready to hear some in-depth behind the scenes interviews that you won’t hear anyone else.
Description: Legendary Queens rapper and one half of Capone-n-Noreaga N.O.R.E. alongside Miami hip-hop pioneer DJ EFN come together as the Drink Champs. Snoop Dogg’s GGN Podcast
The icon Snoop Dogg drops a Hip Hop Podcast featuring some of the best talent and plenty of mary jane. But it doesn’t stop there. You’ll also get interviews with people like Seth Rogen, Lil Duval, Mike Epps and more. The visuals are also on YouTube which you can check out here.

Angela Yee’s Lip Service
Angela Yee from Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club started her own podcast and surprisingly features a lot of Hip Hop artists. Though the questions on this may lean a little more towards the sex and relationships side, anyone who would be interested will get a new side of their favorite artists they may not know about.

Audible Treats
Audible Treats isn’t a vocal podcast but more so a music podcast. Operating as a PR Agency based in New York, they’ve worked with some of the dopest artists on the indie and major scene. They give you new music from their artists and if you want to keep up with some gems, then subscribe to their Hip Hop Podcast.

A newer podcast on the scene, the Hip Hop Review Podcast focuses on reviewing the latest Hip Hop albums out at the moment. The reviews have included Drake, YG, Vic Mensa, Chance The Rapper, ASAP Ferg, Big Sean, Young Thug and a lot more.
